CAREERS AT NORTHSTAR

Perform MIG, and flux-core welding on structural steel components and assemblies. Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.  Experience preferred but will train.

Set up and operate CNC plasma, saw, punch, and press brake equipment. Read engineering drawings and maintain tight tolerances. On the job training.

Assemble electrical panels and wire harnesses per schematics. Solder, crimp, and route wiring in operator cabs and control rooms. On the job training.

Assemble fabricated steel components into finished products including operator cabs, control rooms, and enclosures. Work from drawings and work orders. Mechanical aptitude required.

Prepare and paint steel fabrications using industrial spray equipment in a climate-controlled paint booth. Experience with surface prep, primer, and topcoat application preferred.  On the job training available.

Create and revise 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD. Work closely with engineers and production to support new product development and custom fabrication projects.
